Project Summary
(1999-04-01 - Current) Populations of amphibian species are monitored annually on Mount Mansfield using drift-fences. The goals of the monitoring are to (1) establish a baseline data set of abundance indices for the amphibian species caught in the fences, (2) monitor year-to-year changes in their abundance indices, (3) monitor changes in the number and type of obvious external abnormalities, (4) gather inventory data for the Vermont Herp Atlas, and (5) gather basic natural history information on the species present.
Project Summary
(1991-04-01 - 1998-11-01) To document the occurrence of amphibian species at each study site; establish a baseline data set on their distributions and abundances; and to monitor reproductive status in relation to environmental conditions.
Project Summary
(1991-04-01 - 1996-12-30) Active surveys of selected sites to establish species presence/absence in habitats not represented by other survey methods.
